Maryam Nawaz extends Eidul Azha greetings

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was shifted home from Sharif Medical City Hospital after a successful throat surgery, where her condition is said to be improving.

Senior provincial minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said in her message on the social media platform X that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz continued to directly monitor security, cleanliness, and other administrative affairs across the province from the hospital even on Eid-ul-Azha.

According to Marriyum Aurangzeb, the Punjab chief minister underwent major surgery at Sharif Medical City Hospital, which was successful, after which she was shifted home.

According to sources in Pakistan Muslim League (N), Maryam Nawaz Sharif had been suffering from severe throat pain, due to which doctors had recommended surgery.

Sources said that after the surgery, the Punjab chief minister’s health is improving, and doctors have advised her to rest.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz congratulated the citizens of Pakistan and Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, urging them to uphold the message of sacrifice, compassion, love and humanity.

In her Eid message, she mentioned that Muslims who follow the sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) should be appreciated and respected.

She said that Eid-ul-Azha helps to instill in a believer the idea that they should honor Allah’s commands over their desires and distribute happiness to the needy and worthy people in society.

Maryam Nawaz asked people to keep the needy in mind while celebrating Eid, and make sure that they are not left out.

She also paid tribute to the personnel of the Pakistan Armed Forces who were deployed on the country’s borders to ensure peace and security and said the nation will never forget their sacrifices for the country’s peace and security.

The chief minister also thanked the sanitation workers and other public service employees for their continued services during Eid breaks to keep the streets clean and citizens at ease in Punjab.
