Special instructions have been issued for candidates from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) appearing in MDCAT 2026.
According to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), AJK candidates who were unable to complete the online registration process may submit their applications through hard copies.
Applicants are required to submit their application along with a bank draft of Rs13,000.
PMDC stated that all hard-copy applications must be submitted to the PMDC office in Islamabad no later than July 23.
MDCAT 2026 registration fee
The MDCAT registration fee in Pakistan has been set at Rs9,000. Additionally, for students who are abroad, it is Rs45000. The late registration fee will be Rs13,000, which is non-refundable.
MDCAT 2026 exam pattern
The MDCAT exam will have 180 multiple-choice questions. Out of these, 81 questions will be from Biology, 45 from Chemistry, 36 from Physics, and 9 questions each from English and Logical Reasoning. Also, there will be no negative marking in the exam.
Exam centres will be set up in different cities across Pakistan. These include Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta.
MDCAT 2026 Punjab
University of Health Sciences Lahore will manage it in Punjab. Students from Punjab will have exam centres in 14 different cities.
MDCAT 2026 Balochistan
Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences will be responsible for Balochistan. In Balochistan, students will take the exam in Quetta.
MDCAT 2026 Islamabad, AJK, GB, Riyadh
The exam in Islamabad, Azad Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Riyadh will be organised by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University. An exam centre will also be set up in Riyadh for international candidates.
MDCAT 2026 Sindh
Students from Sindh will be able to take the exam in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur and Larkana. According to the PMDC, Sukkur IBA University will conduct the exam in Sindh.
MDCAT 2026 KP
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, exam centres will be available in eight cities. These include Peshawar, Mardan, Swat and Abbottabad. Khyber Medical University will conduct the exam in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the reports.
PMDC said that once students select an exam centre, it cannot be changed later. Candidates will only be allowed to choose a centre in their own province according to their domicile.
