Mercedes-Benz’s latest E-Class has been launched in Pakistanby Shahnawaz (Pvt.) Limited, with an ex-price of Rs57.96 million.
The E 200 Saloon combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a mild-hybrid system and a range of driver-assistance and comfort features.
The launch adds the latest E-Class to Pakistan’s premium luxury car market, where the model is positioned as an executive saloon.
Price, bookings
The Mercedes-Benz E 200 has a provisional ex-showroom price of Rs57.96m in Pakistan.
According to Shahnawaz, customers must pay 20% of the order value when placing an order, with the remaining amount due two weeks before the vehicle’s vessel arrives at Karachi Port.
The company says the vehicle’s price and specifications are subject to change without prior notice.
At nearly Rs58m, the E 200 is positioned in Pakistan’s high-end luxury car segment, competing on features, technology, comfort and the established Mercedes-Benz E-Class brand.
Mercedes-Benz E 200 specs
The E 200 is powered by a 1,999cc turbocharged engine producing 204 horsepower and 320Nm of torque.
It is paired with Mercedes-Benz’s nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 7.5 seconds, according to the manufacturer.
The car also features an integrated starter-generator and EQ Boost mild-hybrid technology, which provides additional assistance during acceleration and is designed to improve efficiency and smoothness.
The new E-Class retains the model’s traditional executive-saloon styling, while incorporating a more contemporary exterior.
The Pakistan-specification E 200 comes with the Exclusive exterior package, 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and comfort suspension.
It also features Mercedes-Benz Digital Light technology, a panoramic sliding sunroof, electrically folding mirrors and acoustic glass designed to reduce road and outside noise.
The saloon measures 4,949mm in length, 1,904mm in width and 1,468mm in height. It has a 540-litre luggage compartment.
Parking equipment includes Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC and a 360-degree camera.
The E 200 comes with a range of safety and driver-assistance systems.
These include Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist, Attention Assist, a centre airbag, knee airbag and tyre-pressure loss warning.
The car also features Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus and Mercedes-Benz’s Digital Light system.
Inside, the E-Class features a digital-focused cabin with a widescreen cockpit and a 12.3-inch central display.
The MBUX multimedia system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while wireless smartphone charging is also available.
Other technology includes MBUX Augmented Reality navigation, additional USB ports and a Burmester Surround Sound System.
The Exclusive interior specification includes black open-pore ash wood trim, active ambient lighting and a Nappa leather multifunction steering wheel.
The E 200 is equipped with climatized front seats, comfort seats, driver-seat memory and four-way lumbar support.
Rear passengers have access to door and window sunblinds, while other convenience features include KEYLESS-GO, hands-free boot access and a panoramic sunroof.
Mercedes-Benz has traditionally positioned the E-Class as an executive car, with a focus on comfort for both drivers and rear-seat passengers.
