Mir Raza Ali’s mother is still seeking justice for her 25-year-old son, who was found dead in Karachi under unknown circumstances last month.
During a protest, the grieving mother broke down in tears while questioning the Sindh government over the lack of progress in finding her son’s killer.
“You can find Wasim Akram’s dog, and now the news of Shahid Afridi’s missing dog is running on news channels. Why can’t you find my son’s killer?” she asked.
She vowed to cross every limit in her fight to get justice for her son. After delivering her emotional speech, Mir Raza Ali’s mother could no longer hold back her tears and broke down, continuing to demand justice for her son.

Journalist Waseem Badami also questioned the police’s swift response when Akram’s dog went missing, contrasting it with the delays often faced by families seeking justice for people who are brutally killed. He pointed out the stark class divide in the justice system, questioning why authorities can mobilise quickly when the case involves a celebrity’s pet, but fail to show the same urgency when a human life is lost.
Earlier, the body of the late entrepreneur Mir Raza Ali was exhumed.
It has been revealed that he was shot from behind, and marks of torture are also present on his body, according to reports. Now the court has ordered the investigators to complete the probe by August 24.
The family remains convinced that he was murdered and has accused the authorities of concealing key facts surrounding his death. However, initial police and medical reports pointed towards suicide or a single gunshot wound.
