He further stated that due to this role, it makes sense that the PM of Pakistan and Field Marshal Asim Munir are nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
During an interview with the Indian YouTube channel, The Wire, the Pakistani senior journalist Najam Sethi was asked an interesting question.
The host Karan Thapar asked him if he believes that the Prime Minister of Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Aim Munir should be nominated for the nobel peace prize award.
He further mentioned that they should be nominated along with the Qataris. He also mentioned that such a scenario would look like an imitation of Trump’s attempt, and no one would take it seriously.
To this Najam Sethi replied that the recent events in the world have been of an extraordinary nature. It started with war in the middle east and now it’s going towards peace.
The world has been able to move towards peace only due to the efforts of three people in Pakistan. These people are the Field Marshal Asim Munir, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
He further stated that all of these individuals have been acknowledged by the Iranians and two of them have also been acknowledged by the Americans, so it would make sense for these individuals to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize award.
He also stated that he did not think that the India-Pakistan conflict should have resulted in such an award but the scenario is different here.
This is one of the biggest historical occasions because it was related to the peace of the whole world.
This was not just a gulf issue, or India and Pakistan issue. It makes sense that a Pakistani is nominated.
