Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Imran Khan’s sister, Noreen Niazi, was summoned by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). However, Noreen Niazi’s lawyer, Faisal Malik, requested a four-week extension.
Faisal Malik also said while speaking to the journalists that Noreen Niazi is currently not in Pakistan, and it will take around four weeks for her to be back in the country.
According to the lawyer, the address mentioned in the notice was wrong, adding that Noreen Niazi got to know about the issued notice through social media. However, the lawyer also said that Noreen Niazi will cooperate with the institutions.
The lawyer also urged NCCIA to provide a copy of the complaint and requested the department to clarify under which law Noreen Niazi has been summoned.
The lawyer Faisal Malik said that PTI leader Noreen Niazi is a true patriot, and she should be treated according to the law.
On the other hand, the PTI’s Senator Ali Zafar distanced himself from Noreen Niazi’s anti-Pakistan statement, said that “we are doing politics, and we as a party are indifferent towards such statements (Noreen Niazi’s anti-state statement).

Earlier, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) had issued a notice to Imran Khan’s sister, Noreen Niazi, over negative remarks against the Pakistan Armed Forces and praise for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In this case, Noreen Niazi has been asked to explain her controversial statement. She has also been directed to appear before the relevant authorities on the scheduled date for further investigation into the matter.
The authority has directed her to appear personally before the investigator at the NCCIA to record her statement. Furthermore, the notice states that failure to comply may be construed as an indication that she has no defence to present regarding the matter.
