The federal government has decided to recruit additional staff for vaccination centres in Karachi to facilitate people travelling abroad.
The government has made vaccination and possession of a valid vaccination certificate mandatory for all individuals travelling abroad, including those performing Hajj and Umrah. However, travellers have been facing difficulties due to a shortage of staff at vaccination centres.
It was revealed that the federal government has decided to recruit additional staff at Karachi’s vaccination centres to ease the difficulties faced by travellers.
According to sources in the Ministry of Health, the recruitment will take place this month, with Border Health Services responsible for hiring staff for the centres. Sources said 100 male and female vaccinators will be recruited for vaccination centres in Karachi. Border Health Services will hire the vaccinators on a daily-wage basis.
Walk-in interviews for the positions will be held on September 28, while the salaries of the vaccinators will be paid by the federal government. Karachi’s vaccination centres will operate 24 hours a day.
On the other hand, the Punjab Ring Road Authority (PRRA) and Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) have announced vacancies for Junior Patrol Officers and Intelligence Officers, offering job opportunities to eligible candidates across Punjab.
The PRRA has announced 187 vacancies for Junior Patrol Officer (BPS-11) posts. Candidates applying for the positions must have at least 14 years of education and be aged between 20 and 25 years.
The minimum height requirement is 5 feet 7 inches for male candidates and 5 feet 2 inches for female candidates. Selected candidates will be posted in Lahore and Rawalpindi, with appointments being made on a three-year contract basis. Applicants will also have to appear in a one-paper written test as part of the recruitment process.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced vacancies for Intelligence Officer (BS-14) positions in the Special Branch of Punjab Police. The recruitment is open to men, women and transgender candidates from across Punjab. The department plans to hire 43 Intelligence Officers on a two-year contract basis.
