The government has decided to integrate the passport application system and related services with the Pak ID mobile app, in a move aimed at making the passport process easier and more convenient for citizens.
According to details, a high-level meeting chaired by Director General Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa reviewed the issuance and processing of passports, as well as the progress of ongoing development initiatives.
Senior officials discussed measures to ensure the timely issuance of passports and improve the overall processing system.
The meeting also reviewed the possibility of introducing a system for applying for new passports through NADRA centres and integrating passport-related facilities with the Pak ID mobile application.
Officials also considered measures to make passport delivery services more efficient and faster.
The Director General directed the relevant officials to resolve operational issues faced by citizens on a priority basis and ensure transparency throughout the passport application and processing procedures.
The proposed integration of passport services with the Pak ID app is expected to provide citizens with greater access to passport-related facilities through digital platforms.
