Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced an overnight gas suspension on Karachi’s Sher Shah mainline for repair work, which could lead to low gas pressure in several neighbourhoods.

The shutdown is scheduled to begin at 10pm on Saturday and continue until 9am on Sunday.

According to SSGC, the disruption is due to repair work on the 24-inch Sher Shah mainline.

The company has warned that the extended shutdown could result in reduced gas pressure in affected areas.

Here is the list of areas that may experience low gas pressure:

  • Baldia Town
  • Ittehad Town
  • Saeedabad
  • Naval Colony
  • Musharraf Colony
  • Mawach Goth

  • Gulshan-e-Zia
  • Sector 16
  • Ghaziabad
  • Altaf Nagar
  • Mehran City
  • Ramzan Goth
  • SITE Industrial Area

It is pertinent to mention that gas loadshedding has intensified in different parts of Karachi, with domestic consumers facing scheduled supply suspensions during morning, afternoon, and nighttime hours.
