Overseas Pakistanis in UK, France, Austria mark first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq

Pakistanis living in the United Kingdom (UK), France, and Austria celebrated the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq with great enthusiasm and paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces today.

A large number of members of the Pakistani community attended events that were held in different cities. They expressed national unity and love for the country.

London

In London, the Pakistan High Commission organised a special ceremony to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq.

Members of the British Parliament, Pakistani-origin councillors, business personalities, officials of the High Commission, media representatives, and members of the Pakistani community attended the event.

Acting High Commissioner Haseeb Bin Aziz said that the ceremony was held to honour the services. And sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces.

He also said that during Marka-e-Haq, the armed forces gave a decisive response and successfully defended the country’s sovereignty and dignity.

Defence and Naval Adviser Commodore Jawad Khawaja, along with Army and Air Adviser Colonel Mohsin Waqar, said that Pakistan’s defence forces defeated enemy plans through skill and professionalism.

Press Minister Ali Nawaz Malik said the Pakistan High Commission played an important role. In providing correct information to the British media and responding to narratives that were misleading.

Paris

Meanwhile, a special event was also held in Paris to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq. The ceremony was organised by PML-N leader Sardar Zahoor Iqbal.

Journalists from Pakistan, representatives of the Pakistani Embassy, military attachés, press counsellors, civil officials, and members of the Pakistani community attended the event.

Participants praised the unity of Pakistan’s armed forces, political leadership, and people. They said that national unity played an important role in protecting the country’s sovereignty.

Tribute was also paid to Field Marshal Asim Munir, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar for their services.

Participants also expressed hope that the spirit of Marka-e-Haq would continue to make Pakistan stronger and stable in the future.

Vienna

In Vienna, the Embassy of Pakistan also organised a special ceremony for the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq. Pakistanis living in Austria and their families attended the event.

A short documentary related to Marka-e-Haq was shown during the ceremony, followed by refreshments for the guests.
