Ministry of Law and Justice opens paid internship for fresh law graduates

The Ministry of Law and Justice has invited applications from fresh law graduates for paid internships and associate lawyer positions, offering a monthly allowance of up to Rs100,000.

The internship programme seeks to provide emerging legal professionals with real experience. Successful applicants will be placed at the ministry’s offices in Islamabad, where they will assist with legal and administrative work under the guidance of senior officials. 

Moreover, the internship period will run for 12 months, and may be extended by the selection committee based on an intern’s performance. Applications must be submitted online, as hard-copy submissions will not be accepted. 

Interested candidates can apply online through the National Job Portal  https://www.njp.gov.pk, with the deadline set for August 14, 2026.

Eligibility criteria

  • Applicants must be fresh law graduates from universities recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC)
  • Selection will be made on merit
  • There is no age limit specified for the general internship category
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test and interview in Islamabad
  • No travel allowance (TA) or daily allowance (DA) will be provided to candidates appearing for the test and interview

On the other hand, previously, the Punjab Fisheries Department also announced internships, the Punjab Shrimp Internship Program 2026-2027, according to reports on Friday.

The program offers 70 paid internship positions for eligible candidates. Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs100,000 for one year. The purpose of the program is to help the participants learn shrimp farming.

According to the department, interns will receive practical training at the Shrimp Estate in Chak 58NB, Sargodha.
