The Punjab Fisheries Department has started the Punjab Shrimp Internship Program 2026-2027, according to reports on Friday.
The program is offering 70 paid internship positions for eligible candidates. Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs100,000 for one year.
Training at shrimp estate
According to the department, interns will receive practical training at the Shrimp Estate in Chak 58NB, Sargodha.
The purpose of the program is to help the participants learn shrimp farming. And to build technical skills through hands on experience in the aquaculture sector.
Stipend and duration
The internship will continue for one year. Every selected candidate will receive Rs100,000 per month during the training period.
How to apply
Interested candidates can apply through the official Punjab Job Portal. Applications must be submitted online before August 7, 2026. Only applications received before the deadline will be considered.
Purpose of the program
The Punjab Fisheries Department said the program is meant to promote shrimp farming in the province.
It also aims to support the aquaculture industry and provide young graduates with practical training and career opportunities.
Punjab announces 1,400 Rescue 1122 internships
Before this, the Punjab government had announced 1,400 internship opportunities under the Chief Minister Internship Program in partnership with Rescue 1122.
The program was expected to provide practical training to young healthcare professionals in emergency response and public safety services.
According to the official advertisement for the CM Internship Program, candidates with qualifications in Nursing, Paramedical Sciences, or Allied Health Sciences can apply.
The program was open only to Punjab domicile holders between the ages of 18 and 30.
Officials said the initiative will give participants hands on experience in emergency medical care and rescue operations.
It will also help the participating young professionals to improve their skills while working in a real world environment.
