Intermittent rainfall has continued across the Baltistan Division for the past three days, raising concerns over possible flash floods in several areas.
Reports of flash flood-related damage have been received from Tormik, Rundu, Kamango, Kharmang, Ghorse, and Ganche. In Baraldo, Chhakpo, and Basha, flash floods have damaged water channels supplying powerhouses and affected public land.
Authorities have advised residents to remain alert as rivers and streams continue to experience rising water levels. The risk of flooding is expected to persist for the next two weeks, with officials urging people to avoid riverbanks, canals, and other vulnerable areas as a precautionary measure.

On the other hand, a powerful new monsoon system has entered the country, bringing rainfall across various regions, including Karachi, over the next three to four days.
According to the Meteorological Department, moist winds from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea have entered Pakistan. Rain, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms, is expected in Karachi on July 25 and 26. Rainfall is also likely in Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Sujawal, Tharparkar, and Sukkur.
Rain is forecast in several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, while heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Islamabad, Kashmir, and Punjab.
The Meteorological Department has warned of a risk of urban flooding in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Multan, and Faisalabad from July 24 to 27 due to heavy rains. There is also a risk of flooding in rivers in Dera Ghazi Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northern Balochistan.
The department has advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during this period. Strong winds and lightning may damage vulnerable structures and solar panels. Farmers have been advised to plan their activities according to weather conditions and take special precautions to protect livestock.
