Pakistan’s first Netflix Original series, “Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo,” is likely to be released by the end of 2026 after a long wait, according to recent media reports.
What is Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo about?
The series is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by famous writer Farhat Ishtiaq. It has been produced through a collaboration between Hum TV and Netflix. It will be the first Pakistani drama series to be released as a Netflix Original.

The drama features a star-studded cast including Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Bilal Ashraf, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Aamir, Iqra Aziz, Sanam Saeed, Ahad Raza Mir, Nadia Khan, and several other well-known actors. It has been directed and produced by Momina Duraid.
The series was originally expected to be released in 2025. However, it was not launched as planned.
After the delay, there were no official updates from the producers or cast, leading to speculation about the project’s future.
According to the latest reports, the final editing of the series is now in its last stage. Reports also said that Momina Duraid is personally supervising the editing process. The cast is also expected to begin promotional activities soon.
Despite the latest update, many fans remain cautious because of the repeated delays. Social media users say they will only believe the release news when Netflix officially announces the release date or shares details about the episodes.
‘Pakistan eyes lasting partnership with Netflix’
Pakistan is in talks with the world’s leading OTT streaming platforms, including Netflix, to form long-term partnerships to promote Pakistani films and TV dramas abroad, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal announced.
The minister said in a post on X that Pakistani productions are very popular and appreciated by people around the world and the creative and cultural industry is one of the main pillars of the government’s export strategy of Uraan Pakistan.
