The former Prime Minister and President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif, said that Kashmir is not my second but it’s my first home. He also criticised the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) by saying that “It’s Kashmir, not Kashmor,” adding that “Please, Bilawal, don’t mind as criticising political parties is the beauty of democracy.”
Nawaz Sharif also promised to build an international airport in Mirpur for the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He also said while addressing a political rally on Friday that, “no party did anything for the people of Kashmir except PML-N.”
On the other hand, Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz said: “Mirpur and AJK are my ancestors’ home.”
Maryam Nawaz also promised to provide ten green buses for the people of Mirpur. Maryam Nawaz also said that “Nawaz Sharif and his family members are the true heirs of Kashmir.”
Maryam Nawaz also promised to launch “Suthra Kashmir” and “Suthra Mirpur” programs in the region after winning the upcoming elections.
Maryam Nawaz also urged the people of Mirpur to vote and support PML-N in the upcoming elections.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif had expressed confidence that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will form the next government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the private media outlet reported on Wednesday.
The remarks were conveyed during a meeting of the PML-N election committee, chaired by Khawaja Saad Rafique at Punjab House. Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Tahira Aurangzeb, Malik Abrar, Sardar Naseem, Bilal Yamin Satti, and other lawmakers attended the meeting.
The participants discussed the party’s strategy for securing victory in the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections. They also emphasised the need for lawmakers to play an active role in the election campaign.
