The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a press release stated that security forces killed 12 Khwarij affiliated with the Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Khwarij in retaliation for a terrorist attack on a joint police check post in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On the night of 23/24 July 2026, a cowardly terrorist attack was carried out on the Joint Police Check Post in Tank District by Khwarij belonging to the Indian-sponsored, Fitna Al Khwarij.
The assailants sought to breach the check post security; however, their nefarious designs were swiftly and decisively foiled by the vigilant and resolute response of security forces. Displaying unwavering courage and professional excellence, troops engaged the fleeing khwarij with precision, eliminating twelve khwarij.
In their desperation, the attackers rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the perimeter wall. Due to blast impact, infrastructure at the check post was seriously damaged, resultantly fifteen brave sons of soil, including twelve military, two policemen, and a government official ex forest department rendered the ultimate sacrifice and embracing ‘Shahadat’ martyrdom.
Sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji found in the area, as a relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country. These sacrifices of our brave soldiers further reinforce our unwavering commitment to safeguarding our nation at all costs.
It is worth mentioning here that security forces have also launched Operation Al-Azm in Mastung, Balochistan, on Wednesday, killing 15 Fitna Al Hindustan in coordinated air and ground offensives based on credible intelligence, officials said.
According to details, the operation targeted terrorist hideouts through synchronised aerial strikes and ground action, resulting in the elimination of 15 Fitna Al Hindustan, while 12 others sustained injuries.
The security operation dealt a significant blow to the terrorist network operating in the area. Authorities reiterated that security forces remain committed to eliminating all hostile elements and their facilitators, adding that operations against terrorist groups will continue across the region.
Yesterday, an arrested facilitator of Fitna al Khawarij in the current week revealed that terrorist groups misuse religion and seek self-serving fatwas from unregistered seminaries to recruit operatives, justify criminal activities, and advance extremist agendas.
