The three match One-Day International (ODI) series between Pakistan national cricket team and Bangladesh national cricket team is going to reach a nail-biter finish with the decider between the two played today in Mirpur.

With the series now tied, the final game will decide who the winner will be. It is going to be a high-stakes game.

The match is due to be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka where the first ball of the match will be bowled at 1:15 cpm Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

Both teams go into the contest with renewed determination after contrasting forms in the opening two matches of the series.

Pakistan strengthened from their previous win; they defeated Bangladesh by 128 runs according to the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method in the 2nd ODI by a commanding performance after rain interrupted their match on Friday.

Batting first, Pakistan scored a competitive 274, having been bowled out in 47.3 overs on what at first glance was seen to be a batting friendly surface.

Heavy rain forced officials to later change Bangladesh’s chase to 243 runs from 32 overs.

However, Pakistan’s bowlers soon took control of the match, taking down the Bangladeshi batting line-up with skill and discipline, using pace and accuracy.

Bangladesh was later bowled out for mere 114 in 23.3 overs, which allowed Pakistan to level the series.

One of the highlights of the series was Maaz Sadaqat. He played a blistering innings of 75 runs of just 46 balls, helping Pakistan to build momentum at an important stage.

Sadaqat again came back with the ball in hand and took three wickets, playing a crucial role in the Bangladesh collapse. His remarkable all-round display won him the award of the Player of the Match.

Pakistan’s sheer might in bowling ultimately did the trick and brought the comprehensive victory for Pakistan to set up a dramatic series decider.
