Direct flights from Iraq to Pakistan have resumed after a suspension, with the first Fly Baghdad flight arriving at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.
According to airport authorities, Fly Baghdad flight IF331 departed from Baghdad and landed in Karachi, carrying more than 100 passengers.
The resumption restores direct air connectivity between the two countries after flights were temporarily suspended amid regional tensions and conflict.
The development is expected to facilitate travel for passengers between Pakistan and Iraq, including people travelling for religious visits, family commitments and other purposes.
Direct flights between the two countries had previously resumed on May 25, 2026, but were suspended again due to the prevailing regional situation.
The latest restoration of services marks another step towards normalising air travel between Pakistan and Iraq. However, the continuity of flight operations will depend on the regional security situation and the airline’s operational decisions.
