Job opportunity in Punjab police

The Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) has sought the Chief Minister’s approval to recruit 3,565 personnel against vacant posts in the provincial police force.

IGP has sent a summary to the Punjab Chief Minister seeking approval for the recruitment of 3,565 personnel against vacant posts in the Punjab Police. According to the summary, the police force is facing a severe shortage of human resources, with one constable currently responsible for approximately 940 people.

The document states that between 3,000 and 4,000 positions become vacant every year due to retirement, death or dismissal. It further notes that the proposed recruitment would not place any additional financial burden on the provincial government. If the summary is approved, the recruitment process is expected to begin across Punjab.
