PCB issues NOCs to four players for county

PCB latest

No-Objection Certificates (NOC) have been issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board to four players for overseas commitments in England during the 2026 season.

Mohammad Nawaz, Sufiyan Muqeem and Usama Mir have been given NOCs to take part in the Vitality T20 Blast. The pacer Mohammad Abbas has also received a NOC for multiple county stints with Derbyshire.

The NOC of Sufiyan Muqeem runs from May 22 to June 7. This gives him a short window in the competition. However, Usama and Nawaz have been granted longer availabilities. This will allow them to feature in a much larger part of the tournament.

Abass’s NOC gives him multiple separate windows across April, May, June and again from August to late September. The reason for this staggered schedule is to help him manage his workload. This will keep him involved in country red-ball cricket.

Among the players going to England, Usama is the only one who has Vitality T20 Blast experience. In the 2023 edition he represented Worcestershire in the 2023 edition.

He impressed them with taking 19 wickets in 11 matches. He had an economy rate of 7.29. Sufiyan and Nawaz are set for their first appearance in the tournament.

The Vitality T20 Blast 2026 will begin on May 22 and will continue until July 18.

All the three spinners that are granted NOC for the Vitality T20 Blast are currently playing in the ongoing 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11).

Usama Mir is playing for the Lahore Qalandars, Nawaz is in the Multan Sultans and Sufiyan is part of Peshawar Zalmi.
