The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced revised petroleum prices, with petrol becoming cheaper and diesel prices increasing from October 23.

According to the revised rates, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs1.60 per litre, bringing it down to Rs377.71 per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel has increased by Rs1.64 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs391.75 per litre.

The revised prices will take effect on October 23.

The reduction in petrol prices is expected to provide some relief to motorists, while the increase in diesel prices could add to transportation costs. Diesel is widely used in public transport, freight vehicles and agricultural machinery, making its price an important factor in the cost of moving goods and producing food.

Motorists and transport operators will now pay according to the newly announced rates.
