The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast widespread rain and thunderstorms across several parts of the country, with heavy rainfall expected at isolated locations.
The Met Office warned that some areas could receive intense downpours. The risk of urban flooding, flash floods in hilly regions, and disruption to normal life will be increased.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Islamabad, Punjab, north eastern Balochistan, and Gilgit Baltistan are likely to experience periods of rain accompanied by thunderstorms over the coming days.
Rain in Islamabad is expected to continue throughout the day. Possibility of heavy showers at certain locations. The recent spell of rain has brought relief from the summer heat. The maximum temperature in the federal capital is expected to remain around 27°C. While the humidity level reached 96%, creating cool but highly humid conditions.
The PMD has also forecast another day of rainfall for Lahore. Third consecutive day of rain and wet weather in Lahore, providing relief from the recent heatwave. The maximum temperature in Lahore is expected to reach 30°C. Winds are recorded at 13 kilometres per hour and humidity standing at 88%.
Meanwhile, the impact of the ongoing monsoon rains has been severe in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Reportedly, 12 people have lost their lives and 15 others have been injured after flash floods triggered by rain caused destruction across the province.
Additionally, the heavy rains have damaged homes and public infrastructure. Authorities reported that the roofs and walls of 14 houses collapsed. Roads and flyovers also suffered considerable damage. The closure of the Naran Road has left thousands of tourists stranded, disrupting travel in one of popular tourist destinations of Pakistan.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the highly affected districts are Peshawar, Khyber, Mardan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Kurram.
Authorities advised tourists and residents in mountainous areas to remain alert due to the increased risk of flash floods and landslides during periods of intense rainfall.
