The Islamabad Police has warned the general public against receiving fake e-challan messages on their mobile phones.
In a post on X, the police asked people never to click on any links in such fake SMS or WhatsApp messages and always to check and verify their E-Challan only by visiting the official website.
“If you receive a message about a suspicious or fake E-Challan, immediately report it to the Islamabad Police or the FIA Cybercrime Wing”, Islamabad Police added.
Warning against these fake messages, it said, “Always stay cautious of fake websites, suspicious links, and unverified messages. Your one precaution can protect you from financial loss and cyber fraud.”
