An important update has been released about the Protector Registration Fee for those who are travelling overseas on a Direct Employment Visa.
The Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment, Islamabad, has published the final fee details of Protector registration under the Direct Employment Visa category.
The total Protector Registration Fee has been announced as Rs9,200.
The fee consists of several parts. The insurance fee is Rs2,500 and Rs4,000 is meant for the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) Welfare Fund.

The registration fee to be paid by the applicants is Rs2500 in addition. Another Rs200 comes as the Emigration Promotion Fee at the time of Protector registration, making the total amount to be paid Rs9,200.
The fee structure announced will be implemented for those travelling overseas with Direct Employment Visa (DEV) holders who will need to go through the Protector registration process before their departure.
People who register as a Protector before their overseas trip have certain benefits associated with the registration.
These include insurance cover of Renewable Insurance of Rs1 million for five years.
It also offers financial security linked to their jobs abroad.
The Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment has laid out the breakdown of the total registration fees, giving details of the needed amount for each category.
The total fee is Rs9,200 which consists of the Insurance fee, Contribution from OPF Welfare Fund and Registration fee and Emigration Promotion fee.
The new fee list gives applicants transparency on the costs of complying with the Protector registration procedure prior to moving overseas on a Direct Employment Visa category.
