The educational boards across Punjab have announced the schedule for the release of Matric examination results for 2026.
According to the Punjab Boards, the Class 10 (Matric) result will be declared on August 6, 2026, while the Class 9 result will be announced on September 2, 2026.
The boards have also confirmed that the Matric second annual examinations will commence from October 6, 2026.

Delay in free textbooks for class 10 worries parents
On the other hand, the delay in the distribution of free textbooks to 10th-grade students in government schools in Lahore has been revealed affecting academic activities across the city.
Despite the start of classes more than a week ago, many schools have still not been able to provide students with complete sets of textbooks.
According to sources, thousands of students are still without important subject books, including Mathematics, Chemistry, Urdu and English and severely impacting their studies.
Parents have expressed concern over the situation and demanded the immediate distribution of textbooks, stating that only one week remains before summer vacations, after which academic pressure will increase further.
Meanwhile, Tariq Mahmood said the responsibility for ensuring 100 per cent textbook distribution lies with school principals.
He said that all 10th-grade textbooks are available in sufficient quantity at warehouses and that school administrations can collect them from there.
According to the CEO education, instructions have already been issued to school heads to immediately obtain the books from warehouses and ensure their distribution among students so that the educational process is not disrupted.
