Punjab’s educational boards will announce the names of position holders for the Intermediate Part-II (12th grade) examinations on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
The position holders are expected to be announced between 4 pm and 5 pm, while the complete 2nd year results will be released the following day.
The Intermediate Part-II results will be officially announced on Wednesday, September 23, at 10 am, according to the announced schedule.
The announcement will cover all major educational boards across Punjab, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sahiwal.
Students will be able to check their results through their respective board’s official online platforms once the results are released. Boards are also expected to provide SMS services for students wishing to receive their results via mobile phone.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a video-link meeting on school education, where officials gave a detailed briefing on students’ examination results and education reforms.
During the meeting, Maryam Nawaz expressed concern over the Class 9 examination results and decided to introduce a new ordinance for legal action against teachers linked to poor academic performance.
The meeting agreed to link teachers’ performance with students’ examination results. Immediate action was ordered against schools where the Class 9 pass rate is below 20%.
The government also decided in principle to introduce monthly and annual examinations for every class. Officials have been directed to present a complete timeline and education reforms plan next week.
The chief minister also directed authorities to reward schools achieving strong results, with awards to be given to top-performing schools in each district.
