Rain forecast from tomorrow NDMA

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued a high alert regarding the heat waves in different parts of the country till May 5. The NDMA also confirmed that the current weather situation is according to the perception of the authority four months back.

According to the issued alert by NDMA, there is a chance of a heat wave in different areas of Sindh, South Punjab and Balochistan. The authority also confirmed that the weather will remain hot in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sakhar, Larkana, Bahawalpur, and Multan.

Rain spell from tomorrow

The temperature will also rise in the central Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, the authority also predicted a rain spell from tomorrow across the country. According to the NDMA, there are chances of rain from April 24 to April 29 in the Central Punjab, Murree, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, and Lahore.

Rain with strong winds is forecast in the northern districts of Balochistan from April 24 to 29, while coastal areas, including Gwadar, will remain dry, with temperatures gradually rising.

Rain in KP, Azad Kashmir

Similarly, strong winds and rain are expected in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from April 24 to 29, while intermittent rain with thunderstorms is likely in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

The NDMA has warned that intense heat may lead to heatstroke, dehydration, and other health issues. The public has been advised to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight and to drink plenty of water.

On the other hand, the health experts also urged citizens to stay hydrated and avoid going out if it’s not necessary. According to the health experts, citizens can go out for a walk in the evening when the temperature is not high.
