7% salary increase announced for Rescue 1122 employees

The Sindh Emergency Council, on Wednesday, approved a 7 per cent increase in the salaries of Rescue 112 employees. The contracts for all contractual staff have also been extended by one year.

What was decided regarding health insurance and pensions of Rescue 1122 employees?

During the meeting, the council also decided that the matter regarding health insurance and pensions of Rescue employees will be sent to the provincial cabinet after the final consultation.
The Sindh Finance Department will also give the final approval for more allowances.
Sindh Chief Minister’s (CM) Adviser Gianchand Essrani chaired the sixth meeting, where financial and administrative affairs, welfare, and performance of the Rescue 1122 employees were reviewed.
The council was told that the service has provided medical assistance and other emergency services to more than 1.33 million people since it was established.
According to the details, it has also saved 5,238 lives in different incidents.
The council was further informed that Rescue 1122 receives more than 10,000 calls daily.  It also operates with a fleet of 149 vehicles and 1,723 personnel.

How much bonus will LESCO employees be given?

Previously, the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) employees’ bonus was announced to be equivalent to one month’s salary for its employees.
According to the details, the disbursement process for the LESCO employee bonus has already started.
LESCO’s Board of Directors recently approved a bonus equal to the basic salary. After this, the payment process was started.
A key review meeting was held under the chairmanship of LESCO Chief Executive Officer Engineer Muhammad Ramzan Butt.
During this meeting, directives were issued to make sure of better service delivery to consumers and the prompt resolution of complaints.
LESCO CEO also emphasised that the complete eradication of electricity theft and the achievement of recovery targets are the company’s top priorities.
