Rizwan reveals the reason behind Rawalpindiz dismal performance

Mohammad Rizwan Yet to Sign PCB Central Contract, Sources Say

Captain of Pakistan Super League franchise Rawalpindiz, Mohammad Rizwan, has revealed the real reason behind the team’s seven consecutive defeats and exit from the playoff race.

Speaking at a press conference after the defeat at the hands of Lahore Qalandars, Mohammad Rizwan said that his own performance had not been good, which directly affected the team’s results.

He said that certainly there must have been some shortcoming on his part, which is why such a result came about.

“I was opening with a young player. I do have my own preference regarding position, but the team’s decision is always made collectively.”

Mohammad Rizwan said that when a team is continuously losing, it becomes difficult to find positive aspects, however some things were still encouraging.

He said that if the team is looked at overall, there does not appear to be any obvious weakness anywhere, but luck is not supporting them.

The captain of the Rawalpindiz said that any leader should not be judged only by results.

“As a captain, you can only try, but if mistakes happen, then nothing can be done.”

Talking about his personal form, Mohammad Rizwan said: “I have said before that if I do not perform, then I do not deserve a place in the Pakistan team, but that does not mean I will lose courage.”

“Cricket is a passion for me. I do not know anything apart from it. I will work hard and come back.”

Rizwan admitted that this is the most difficult phase of his career. He said: “I accept that this is my failure. Now the only thing in my hands is to work hard.”

It should be noted that in HBL PSL 11, Lahore Qalandars defeated Rawalpindiz by 32 runs and knocked them out of the tournament.

This was the Rawalpindiz’s seventh consecutive defeat. The team has not been able to win a single match so far.
