The Former Chairman of the Senate and prominent politician, Sadiq Sanjrani, has welcomed a son after 21 years.
Family members, relatives and well-wishers from across the country have sent their congratulations following the news.
Sadiq Sanjrani served as Chairman of the Senate for six years from March 2018 to March 2024.
He was the first politician from Balochistan to hold this position. At the age of 39, he also became the youngest person in Pakistan’s history to lead the upper house of Parliament.
What is Sadiq Sanjrani’s political background?
Sadiq Sanjrani is reported to be from Nokundi. It is a historic area in Balochistan’s Noshki district. He has held several important roles during his political career.
In 1998 and 1999, he worked as an important coordinator in the team of former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Later, from 2008 to 2013, he served as the in-charge of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat during the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government.
Ameer Gilani, Mawra Hocane reveal newborn son’s name
Recently, Pakistani actor Ameer Gilani also shared a special moment with his newborn son and revealed his name as Syed Azmar Hussain Kamal Gilani.
The actor posted a video on social media showing him reciting the Azaan into his and Mawra Hocane’s son’s ear. This is a religious tradition followed by many Muslim families after the birth of a child.
Gilani also shared the meaning of his son’s name. He said that “Azmar” means lion.
“Our son ‘Azmar’, it means lion,” he wrote in the caption. He also shared a Quranic verse that reads, “And your Lord will surely give you, and you will be content.”
Sharing his joy, the actor called his son “the king of our jungle, our pride, our littlest most precious treasure.”
The post gave fans a glimpse into Gilani’s personal life as he celebrated the arrival of his baby boy.
