Saim Ayub dethroned from No 1 spot in ICC rankings

Saim Ayub Sikandar Raza

Sikandar Raza is back at the top of the rankings of ICC Men’s T20I all-rounders after giving good performances in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The Zimbabwe skipper played a decisive role in his team’s march to Super Eights stage.

Raza’s 45 runs against Sri Lanka national cricket team at Colombo and 27 runs against West Indies cricket team at Mumbai were crucial knocks.

His consistency enabled him to overtake Saim Ayub in the rankings again.

The Zimbabwean and the Pakistani star have been frequently switching places in the past few months.

The latest update also saw India’s Shivam Dube going up to number seven and Afghanistan veteran Mohammad Nabi going up to the eighth spot.

Batting Rankings: Abhishek Remains Ahead

India Abhishek Sharma maintains his top spot in the T20I batting list despite a slow start in the World Cup. He holds an edge of 62 points over England’s Phil Salt.

Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan rocketed up to number three overall achieving a new career high.

Further improvements were made by Ishan Kishan (up to fifth) and Dewald Brevis (ninth). Notable climbs also included Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran, West Indies captain Shai Hope and England skipper Harry Brook.

Bowlers on the Rise

India spinner Varun Chakravarthy is the No.1 T20I bowler despite a costly match against South Africa.

South Africa quick Corbin Bosch made the biggest leap jumping 21 spots to third after outstanding spells against UAE and India.

Other significant movers: Matthew Forde, Jasprit Bumrah, Marco Jansen, Gudakesh Motie, Liam Dawson: These all had massive increases in the new update.
