Sarhad University has reportedly dismissed Dr Anna and Jadoon from their positions at the university.
The development comes amid growing attention surrounding the two officials and their roles at the institution.
Earlier, the Sarhad University incident sparked controversy after allegations emerged of harassment, a confrontation between students and a university official, and an ensuing clash involving a military officer.
According to claims circulating on social media, the Sarhad University incident began after Dr Aina, head of the Student Affairs Department at Sarhad University, allegedly accused Dr Jadun Khan, head of the Allied Health Sciences Department, of harassment. The university reportedly suspended the department head and formed an inquiry committee to investigate the complaint.
The situation reportedly escalated when a group of students staged a protest demanding the suspended official’s reinstatement. During the Sarhad University incident, Dr Aina allegedly approached the protesters to discuss the matter, but the confrontation reportedly became heated.
The account circulating online claims that one of the students grabbed Dr Aina by her clothing and threatened her. These allegations, however, require confirmation from the university, police or other independent sources.
According to the same account, Dr Aina subsequently contacted her husband, who is a Pakistan Army officer, and informed him about the Sarhad University incident. He allegedly went to the university alone rather than arriving with police or military personnel.
The officer reportedly confronted the student accused of misbehaving with his wife. The situation allegedly escalated as other students surrounded the officer. Claims circulating online further state that Dr Aina was pushed during the confrontation and fell to the ground.
