A tragic incident occurred in Dera Ghazi Khan where the roof of a private school collapsed near Block V, according to rescue officials.
Rescue teams recovered four dead bodies of children from the rubble, while 14 injured students were shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.
Officials said one teacher was also rescued in an injured condition, while five children remained safe during the incident.
Emergency teams continued relief operations at the site following the collapse.
Earlier, a tragic incident occurred in the Wreshmi Kallah Mandan area of Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the roof of a house collapsed due to heavy rainfall, leaving three children dead and two injured.
According to rescue sources, the roof of a house belonging to a man who was identified as Sher Muhammad suddenly caved in while his five children were in the room.
All the kids were trapped under the debris after the collapse, which led the Rescue 1122 Teams to immediately launch a rescue operation.
Rescue personnel managed to drag out two injured children and shifted them to the District Headquarters Hospital after giving them first aid, where they are receiving treatment.
Two daughters and one son lost their lives after being buried under the rubble.
The rescue team brought out the dead children’s bodies and delivered them to the District Headquarters Hospital.
Residents said that recent heavy rains have caused significant damage to mud houses in the area and have urged authorities to increase safety measures in the affected regions.
