The list of Pakistani cricketers who have lost their dogs has now been extended, as former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has revealed that his pet dog Max went missing in Islamabad.
The news was shared by Afridi, popularly known as ‘Lala’ on X (formerly Twitter), on his social media account.
He called for the general public to aid in his search and bring his dog back home.
The retired cricketer also gave a contact number for anyone who has information regarding the dog’s location.
When asked about his cherished pet, Afridi stated that Max was a part of their family and had a special place in their lives.

He also disclosed that Max had survived a grave sickness when he was only 30 days old, which only added to the distress of the family.
Afridi appealed to people in Islamabad to be alert, and inform the family if they find Max or have any information which might help them find him.
The dog has also garnered attention from fans and followers, who are hoping that it will be located and returned to its family.
The incident comes after former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram also shared his experience of losing his dog.
Akram had approached the public for help in finding his dog.
Afridi’s appeal has since caused a resurgence of interest in the case, and Afridi’s supporters hope that Max will be safe and soon be reunited with his family.
