Former Pakistan cricket team captain Wasim Akram has been reunited with his missing pet dog after it was found safely. Akram and his wife, Shaniera Akram, had announced a reward of Rs250,000 for information leading to the dog’s recovery.
The dog had gone missing three days ago from Karachi’s DHA area, prompting a search operation. It was later found and safely returned to the family.
Two individuals who helped locate the missing dog were awarded the Rs250,000 reward in recognition of their efforts.
Expressing relief after being reunited with his pet, Wasim Akram thanked everyone who assisted in the search and appreciated their support in ensuring the dog’s safe return.
Earlier, Wasim Akram reportedly lost his pet dog when it went missing in Karachi’s DHA Phase 8 area.
The cricketer posted a story on Akram’s official Instagram account, requesting everyone to help in the search to find the missing dog and asking people to look around their local neighbourhoods.
Any information that can help to successfully locate the dog will be rewarded with Rs250,000 from the owners.
Duke is a black German Shepherd (long coat) that has no markings on it. The appeal indicated Duke’s last sighting was in DHA Phase 8.

The family asked local residents and security guards to keep an eye out in the vicinity of the area where the dog might have gone to wander around in nearby gardens, parks, streets, rooftops, garages and other locations.
They called for anyone who knew anything about Duke to contact them so they could get the pet home safely.
The appeal had generated attention on social media, with many people sharing the post to help with the search for the dog and bring it home safely.
