Shifa International to set up a new hospital in Faisalabad

Shifa International Hospital has officially launched operations at their latest hospital in Faisalabad.

They are now expanding one of the country’s few publicly listed healthcare services companies into a key facility in Punjab.

It is important to note that Shifa is setting up this hospital in Pakistan’s third largest city after the establishment of three hospitals in the federal capital, Islamabad.

Shifa sent a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on June 15. They said that Shifa National Hospital Faisalabad has now begun operations at their new hospital on Sheikhupura Road in Faisalabad.

Under Phase I of the ongoing project, the hospital has become operational.

Shifa also plans to keep the Pakistan Stock Exchange updated about latest material developments such as future phases of the project.

Punjab to get first ever cancer hospital with free treatment

Earlier, Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique shared that the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research Center will be the first fully free government cancer hospital in Pakistan. He added that no patient would be denied treatment.

He made these comments during a visit to the hospital, which is currently under construction, accompanied by Chairman Board and former Chief Secretary of Punjab, Captain (retd) Zahid Saeed, and Health Economist Dr. Muhammad Adnan Khan, to assess the project’s ongoing progress.

Khawaja Salman Rafique further expressed that, Insha Allah, patients with level three and level four cancer would also receive complimentary treatment at the new facility.
