The Sindh government has decided to introduce an e-marking and digital examination system in all education boards, according to reports on Wednesday. The step is expected to bring a huge change in the exam system and will replace the traditional paper-checking process.
The decision was discussed at a meeting chaired by Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahu. Representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) also attended the meeting.
Under the new plan, exam papers will be checked through a computerised e-marking system. This will help to improve transparency and accuracy in the exam checking process.
The government will also provide modern IT equipment and computers to all education boards. Board staff will receive special training from IT experts to help them use the new technology.
Muhammad Ismail Rahu said the proposal will soon be presented to the Sindh cabinet for approval.0
He added that once it is approved, work will start on the digital system. This will help to reduce delays in exam results and also minimise any errors or mistakes.
