The Sindh Education Department decided to adopt facial recognition attendance to enhance the attendance system at the provincial level. The government also launched strict action against absentee employees and those who hold fake degrees, the private media outlet reported on Wednesday.
According to the details, the new attendance system will help to improve the attendance of employees across the province.
The education department sources said that 15000 applications have been received across Sindh for early retirement from teaching and non-teaching staff. The sources also confirmed that this issue created an administrative and financial challenge for the Sindh Education Department.

Earlier, the Sindh government had launched a scheme to provide free mini solar home systems to 275,000 low-income families.
The government will be providing the solar systems to the public under a project worth Rs18.2 billion, as part of efforts to improve access to electricity and promote renewable energy.
Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said the initiative was launched on the instructions of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, with a focus on supporting poor households, particularly those living in remote areas of the province.
According to the minister, 132,000 off-grid families with no access to electricity will receive free mini solar home systems, while another 143,000 households connected to the national grid will be provided with solar kits to help reduce their electricity bills.
