Social media star AB Butt, also known as AB Butt 46 or Chota Butt, has been arrested for one-wheeling while performing dangerous stunts.
AB Butt, belonging from Gujranwala, has gained popularity online for posting motorcycle stunts, wheelies and public riding videos. His social media accounts feature several clips of dangerous bike stunts performed on public roads alongside members of the local biking community.
According to traffic police, the suspect was arrested from Defence Boulevard. The arrested one-wheeler had uploaded hundreds of videos featuring one-wheeling and reckless behaviour on his Instagram account.
The account details and other relevant data have been handed over to the police.
The Lahore Chief Traffic Officer said that one-wheeling, reckless driving and speeding would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
In Lahore, one-wheeling is a criminal offence under Section 99-A of the Provincial Motor Vehicles Ordinance. A first-time offender can face up to six months in prison, a fine of up to Rs5,000, or both.
Police can also seize the motorcycle used in the offence. The bike may remain in police custody until the court case is completed and can be permanently confiscated if the rider is convicted.
A repeat offender caught again within three years can face up to two years in prison and a fine of up to Rs10,000.
