Bangladesh, England and Sri Lanka stars in ICC August award race

ICC announces August player of month nominees

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominees for the Player of the Month award for August, with players from Bangladesh, England, and Sri Lanka making the shortlist. The three nominees have been recognised for their impressive performances during the month and will compete for the prestigious ICC award.

Sri Lanka’s Sonal Dinusha, England’s Ollie Robinson, and Bangladesh’s Hasan Mahmud are in contention for the August award. Sri Lanka’s Sonal Dinusha delivered an outstanding performance in two Test matches against India, scoring 420 runs. England’s Ollie Robinson produced an impressive bowling performance in the first and second Tests against Pakistan, taking eight wickets in each match.

Bangladesh’s Hasan Mahmud also impressed with the ball in the Darwin Test against Australia, taking six wickets in the first innings and three in the second. One of these three players will be named the ICC Player of the Month for August.
