The notification applies to both government and private schools in Murree and Kotli Sattian, providing students and teachers with a short summer break during the ongoing warm weather.
It is important to note that a large number of tourists from across Pakistan have begun visiting the country’s scenic northern areas, including the Kaghan Valley, to beat the summer heat.
According to authorities, more than 50,000 tourists have entered the scenic Kaghan Valley as pleasant weather and rainfall pulled crowds towards northern areas.
Temperatures in Naran dropped to 6 degrees Celsius after continuous rain, giving tourists relief from heat in other parts of the country.
Hotels in the valley are fully booked while families continue arriving in large numbers. As this is a tourist season the hotel prices have also shot up ranging from Rs30,000 to Rs14,000
Tourists are enjoying beautiful roadside views, flowing streams and cold weather across the valley.
Visitors have also been advised to carry warm clothing due to the sharp fall in temperature especially at night.
