KP govt to auction Swat Hotel on June 22 to promote tourism

The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tourism and Culture, Malik Adil Iqbal, has stated that the provincial government is taking extensive steps, such as the Swat Hotel auction to boost tourism.

During a pre-bid meeting about the auction of Swat Hotel (previously known as Serena Hotel), he announced that the hotel would be auctioned on June 22 as part of the government’s initiative to promote private-sector involvement and improve tourism infrastructure.

The meeting saw strong participation from both local and international investors, who showed great interest in the auction and investment opportunities in the tourism sector.

Malik Adil Iqbal mentioned that Swat has significant potential for tourism and investment because of its natural beauty, pleasant weather, and increasing number of visitors.

He emphasised that the government is dedicated to creating a transparent and investor-friendly atmosphere to support sustainable economic growth and tourism development.

Swat Hotel auction to create employment opportunities

He added that the Swat Hotel auction would create new investment opportunities, generate jobs, and aid in the socio-economic development of the area.

The Special Assistant reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting public-private partnerships and ensuring transparency in all investment-related efforts.

He expressed confidence that increased investment in tourism infrastructure would further improve Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s status as a top tourist destination in the country.

He also welcomed the interest from investors and assured them of the government’s complete support in facilitating tourism projects throughout the province.
