Three Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed by security forces in Balochistan’s Panjgur district.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said, “On January 25 (Sunday), security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur District of Balochistan, on [the] reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna-al-Hindustan.”

Among the killed was a local terrorist commander, Farooq alias Soro, the ISPR said.

“Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area”, added ISPR.

President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the security forces for the successful Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) against Fitna-al-Hindustan terrorists in Panjgur.

“The nation’s unwavering resolve in the war against terrorism and the role of security forces are commendable,” President Zardari said, according to the President’s Secretariat.

The president said operations against terrorists are indispensable for national security. The war against terrorism caused by foreign interference will continue, he added.

In a separate statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to the security forces for the successful operation against “Fitna-al-Hindustan” terrorists in Panjgur.

Balochistan has witnessed multiple similar operations recently. Earlier this month, security forces killed four terrorists in Kalat district during an intelligence-based raid.

Despite high militant casualties in 2025, Pakistan experienced a rise in terrorist activity last year. Reports indicate that terrorist attacks increased by 34 per cent, while fatalities from terrorism rose by 21 per cent compared to the previous year.
