US President Donald Trump has once again referred to aircraft losses during the recent India-Pakistan conflict, saying that 11 planes were shot down during the hostilities.

Speaking to the media, Trump said the conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbours resulted in the downing of 11 aircraft.

The US president also reiterated his claim that his administration helped prevent a nuclear war between India and Pakistan, saying millions of lives were saved by securing a ceasefire. Trump said he had prevented a conflict that could have claimed the lives of around 30 million people.

Trump further stated that he enjoyed a 99 per cent approval rating in Israel and questioned how any Jewish voter could support the Democratic Party.

Commenting on his relationship with billionaire Elon Musk, Trump said the two continue to have a very good relationship.

The development come after Trump recently said that the United States was making positive progress in its engagement with Iran, adding that efforts to promote peace and stability in the region were continuing.

Earlier, the President called India a hellhole on the planet in a post on Truth social. This comment proves that India has become isolated internationally.

The Indian opposition party, Congress, also raised the issue. On their official X account (formerly Twitter), they called the statement extremely insulting and anti-India.

They further said that every Indian is hurt by these comments. They urged their Prime Minister Modi to show a strong objection to the US President over this.

However, in the same tweet, they did not fail to mention the track record of Modi. They posted about Modi not having a spine and predicted that it is likely he will not be able to say anything to US President Donald Trump.

They further added that Prime Minister Modi quietly listens to every insult that the US President hurls at India and do not step up for India.

They ended the twee by calling Narendra Modi a weak Prime Minister and said that the whole country is sufferig because of him.

Under Modi India fails to uphold global responsibilities

The Modi government has already damaged the economy of India and its administrative machinery. It is now also demonstrating its incompetance and failure at the global level.

Reuters has reported that the Indian government has withdrawn its bid to host COP33. It was due to be held in 2028.

Indian media outlet India Today is describing this decision as a clear U-turn because Prime Minister Narendra Modi had offered to host the 2028 conference during the conference held in Dubai in 2023.
