Saudi Arabia has opened the visas for the new Umrah season 2026.
The authorities will begin issuing permits for international pilgrims from May 31.
The move comes as preparations begin for the 1448 Hijri Umrah season following the conclusion of this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said international pilgrims will be able to obtain visas and travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah throughout the season, which will run until March 2027.
Under the arrangements announced by the ministry, pilgrims will use the government’s Nasik application to obtain permits and manage their travel-related services.
The application serves as Saudi Arabia’s main digital portal for Umrah and Hajj services, including permit issuance and bookings.
Officials said Umrah visas will continue to be issued until March 9, 2027, which corresponds to the 1st of Shawwal 1448 AH.

According to the ministry’s schedule, March 23, 2027, will be the final date for Umrah pilgrims to enter Saudi Arabia under the season’s visa programme. Pilgrims will be required to leave the country by April 7, 2027.
Millions of Muslims from around the world travel to Saudi Arabia each year to perform Umrah, an Islamic pilgrimage that can be undertaken at any time of the year, unlike Hajj, which takes place on specific dates in the Islamic calendar.
Saudi authorities have increasingly expanded the use of digital services in recent years, allowing pilgrims to apply for permits, make reservations, and access travel information through online platforms.
