US 'not satisfied' with Iran deal yet: Trump

The President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, has said that Iran had believed it could delay talks and pressure the United States by prolonging negotiations.

He said the situation has now changed and Iran understands that it has no option except a deal.

Speaking to reporters before a cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump said Iran’s leadership thought it could tire the US through long talks. He said this strategy is no longer working.

Trump said he is not fully satisfied with the current progress in talks with Iran. However, he said he believes the situation will improve soon.

He said Iran wants to reach a deal, but the expected results have not been achieved yet. He added that the US is still not satisfied, but it will be.

Trump also said that if no agreement is reached, further action will be needed. He did not explain what that action would be.

He stressed that he will not rush into any decision due to political pressure. He said he does not care about midterm elections and will only make decisions based on US interests.

Trump said, “Iran is very much intent, they want very much to make a deal.

“So far, they haven’t gotten there and we’re not satisfied with it. But now we will be we will be either that or will have to just finish the job.”
