Vivo has introduced its first over-ear noise-cancelling headphones, named the Vivo Over-Ear Noise-Cancelling Headphones.
These new headphones were revealed in China for 499 yuan, $70, with sales set to begin on June 10.
Vivo noise-cancelling headphones features
The headphones are available in two colors, Cloud White and Breeze Purple, and Vivo has focused on ensuring they are comfortable.
Weighing 238 grams, the headphones feature soft leather memory foam earcups and what Vivo describes as hair-friendly hinges to prevent hair pulling during adjustments.
The headband is made with slow-rebound foam and has a leather-like outer finish to minimise pressure during extended listening.
Regarding noise cancellation, Vivo claims a maximum reduction of 58dB, with adaptive ANC modes tailored for specific settings like airplanes, subways, and buses.
However, keep in mind that adaptive ANC is only available via Bluetooth, wired connections do not support it.
In terms of sound quality, the headphones are equipped with a 40mm dynamic driver and have Hi-Res Audio certification for both wired and wireless use.
They also support spatial audio, processed through Vivo’s Golden Ear Acoustics Lab engine, which transforms stereo sound into 360-degree surround sound. A ten-band EQ allows for further sound customisation.
Vivo headphones battery life
For battery life, Vivo claims 75 hours with ANC turned off and 35 hours with it activated. A quick ten-minute charge is said to provide about nine hours of playback.
The Vivo headphones can connect to three devices at once, allowing users to switch between them with a single tap. There’s a low-latency mode for gaming, along with AI features such as smart translation and an AI assistant for managing calls.
Physical controls are located on the ear cup, including a noise cancellation and Bluetooth button, a volume wheel, and a power button.
There is currently no information on international availability.
