Security forces have eliminated 15 Fitna al-Hindustan Khawarij during a successful clearance operation in Balochistan’s Ziarat district, after an attack that claimed the lives of police personnel, the provincial government said.
Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind said the joint clearance operation was carried out by security forces, Balochistan Police and other law enforcement agencies, resulting in the elimination of 15 Khawarij.
He said the Fitna al-Hindustan had paid a heavy price for attempting to destabilise peace in Balochistan, adding that the state was responding with full force to terrorist threats.
“The malicious designs of Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists have been crushed through the coordinated efforts of security forces and law enforcement agencies,” Rind said.
He reiterated that there would be no safe havens for terrorists in Balochistan and vowed that every attack on the state would receive a strong and decisive response.
Rind said intelligence-based operations against terrorist groups would be further intensified to eliminate militant networks across the province.
He also warned that elements challenging the writ of the state would be brought to justice, stressing that Pakistan’s fight against terrorism would continue with full determination.
Paying tribute to the police officers and personnel martyred in the Ziarat attack, Rind said their sacrifices would not go in vain and those responsible would be held accountable.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring peace, stability and the protection of the people of Balochistan, saying the complete elimination of terrorism remains the government’s top priority.
At least nine police personnel, including two station house officers (SHOs), were martyred after terrorists attacked security forces in the Kuch Mangi Phase III area of Balochistan’s Ziarat district, officials said on Tuesday.
According to Ziarat Superintendent of Police (SP) Qadoos Dehwar, the attack targeted police personnel, resulting in the martyrdom of nine officers.
The martyred officers were identified as SHO Mangi Muhammad Hussain and SHO Kaus Sahbat Khan, while the identities of the remaining personnel have yet to be officially released.
Police officials said an exchange of fire between security personnel and the attackers had continued since Monday night before the assault claimed the lives of the officers.
Deputy Commissioner Ziarat confirmed that the bodies of the martyred policemen had been shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Ziarat.
According to officials, the terrorists attempted to infiltrate the area by targeting a police post in Kach Mangi with the apparent aim of spreading fear among the local population.
Security forces responded swiftly, launching a coordinated clearance operation that resulted in the killing of 15 terrorists and the successful foiling of the attack.
The operation followed hours of intense fighting that began late the previous night. During the exchange of fire, nine police personnel, including two station house officers (SHOs), were martyred while defending their posts.
The nation pays tribute to the fallen officers, describing their bravery and sacrifice as a symbol of unwavering commitment to protecting the people of Balochistan.
The sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain and reaffirmed the state’s resolve to eliminate terrorism and bring those responsible to justice.
