Zong officially launches 5G services for iPhone users

Pakistan’s popular SIM carrier, Zong, has officially launched 5G services for iPhone users in Pakistan on Wednesday.

The company has made an announcement regarding this on May 12, 2026. According to the announcement, iPhone users can now use 5G services on Zong’s network after updating their phones to iOS 26.5.

Zong said that the new service will allow users to enjoy faster internet and better connectivity. The company further added that iPhone users across Pakistan can now access 5G without interruption through the Zong network.

Zong becomes fastest network

Previously, OpenSignal named Zong as the top mobile network operator in Pakistan in its Mobile Network Experience Benchmarking Report for the first quarter of 2026.

The report was based on more than 1.23 billion real-user measurements collected from across the country. It covered 159 districts of Pakistan.

According to the report, the average mobile download speed in Pakistan is 18.60 Mbps.

Zong ranked first in download speed, upload speed, video streaming quality, and Time on the network. The report also said that the company showed strong and reliable performance in these areas.

Zong list of top 5G-compatible Apple mobile phones

Previously, Telecom operators Jazz and Zong have released updated lists of mobile phones that support 5G services in Pakistan.

The lists include models from a range of manufacturers, covering both newer smartphones and some older devices that can support 5G through updates.

Zong officially supports 5G connectivity on all Apple iPhone models from the iPhone 12 series and after that. Following is the list as well.
