ISLAMABAD: The man who harassed journalist Shahzeb Khanzada has been identified and is said to be PTI worker hiding behind fake “patriotism”.
According to a tweet by journalist Safina Khan, the man has been identified as Shahid Bhatti, a Pakistani national who lives in Mississauga, Ontario.
Shahid Bhatti is said to be real estate agent in Canada and is a PTI worker. His social media accounts are full of anti-army posts.
Over the weekend Shahzeb Khanzada was harassed in a shopping mall when he was with his family over reports about Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
The supporter filmed the couple and hurled abusive language at them.
Despite all of this, Shahzeb Khanzada and his wife remained calm, handling the situation with dignity.
The incident was widely condemned by people from various walks of life including politicians and senior journalists. Even PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan had condemned the public hackle of Khanzada when he was with his family.
It is pertinent to mention that this is not the first time Imran Khan’s supporters have done such a thing. In the past, they have also abused Imran’s rival politicians.
